Day 334

When I got home from work this afternoon, my husband came out to greet my youngest and me. He gave me this look like, "I totally cannot believe you!"

I asked him, "what?"

He says, "You got six packages today!"

Um, well, I knew I had been ordering a few things lately, but six packages in one day? That seems like a lot.

It's true.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I do a lot of ordering online. There have been bunches of sales going on, and I've taken advantage of one or two, or maybe six.

And here's the worst part, all but two of them were for me. Yup, I've been shopping for myself just weeks before Christmas. Two of the packages were CDs. One was for a card creating kit that is absolutely adorable. The other three are clothes - two packages for the boys and a bag for momma. Most of the clothes for me are going back to the store.

Don't tell him, but there are more coming...

Day 277

I spent the majority of the day volunteering at The Kids Sale to earn my extra 10% back in sales. Aside from the two hours spent greeting people at the door, I really enjoyed my time. It was a lot of sorting and organizing, which is one of my favorite things to do.

I forgot to take a picture of the actual venue, so here are the shoes that carried me through the day. While I'm ready to put my feet up now, they were still pretty comfy for nine plus hours of running around.

Day 274

I managed to get everything for the sale ready to go and loaded up in the car. There is still a bunch more I could do, but it'll either wait for eBay, craigslist, or next year. I'm really hoping this car is a lot more empty when I pick stuff up on Sunday.

Day 273

Tis the season for selling clothes I guess. At least it is for me. It's going to be a long night tonight. I have a stack of clothing ironed up and ready to tag for a drop-off tomorrow afternoon, but it's already rapidly closing on midnight. Hopefully, I can get enough done to make the effort (and hours I'm planning to volunteer) worth it.

Day 267

This evening I was shopping at the pre-sale for the consignment sale I posted about a few days ago. I didn't find much in the way of clothing for the boys, but I scored big time on toys.

I wanted to get a picture of the sale for today and when I looked back at the clothing racks, I discovered that there was a beautiful sunset going on in the background, so I had to make sure I caught that as well.

Day 262

Another consignment sale is coming up next week, so I spent much of the day sorting out clothes and entering them into the online sale system. Next I need to do some ironing, hanging, and attaching tags. It's a process, but I am looking forward to hopefully earning some extra money while cleaning out the house.

Day 228

I spent much of the afternoon getting clothes ready for the dreaded trip to eBay. I ironed and took pictures. It will probably take me most of the week to edit pictures, create text, and finally upload my listings, but it's a start. Every year I feel like I'm doing this late, so I hope that things go well. I guess the ultimate goal is to get some stuff out of the house.

Day 220

This afternoon I met up with a friend to shop the half-priced portion of a consignment sale going on this weekend. I was actually going to be participating in the sale, but the time to get everything ready was too short, the location too far away, and we had too many things going on.

I do have to say that for me, shopping during the last couple of hours paid off really well. I was able to pick up two shirts for Paul at half price. For Matt, I got overalls, a sweater vest and polo, and two shirts. All of this for about $24, and they were good brands like Talbot Kids and Gymboree.

And I got a Mariner's backpack for a dollar. (I know it was a promotional item, but I didn't have to collect the milk products for it.) I was really pleased with what I found.

Day 182

Last night I was in the middle of one of the first of several loads of laundry that I needed to get done before we leave on vacation. The washer filled with super hot water and then did nothing. It had done something similar a few days ago, but when I changed the water level, it started right up again. No such luck this time.

So I spent much of my day at my mom's house doing laundry. This is about three loads that I'm taking back home so I can put Matt down for a nap and do some packing. Not exactly the way I had planned to spend my day, but it's nice to have some options available.

Day 152

I'm participating in a large consignment sale this week, and this evening was the pre-sale for consignors. The location where the sale is taking place has these gorgeous large flowers around the side of the building. They almost look like silk flowers, but they are real. I had a few moments to take some pictures while I was waiting for my friend to check out.

Day 90

While Paul was at preschool this afternoon, I was running some errands. I needed to find a new backpack for my husband's trip in a few days, so I stopped by the Eddie Bauer Outlet to see what they had. Since I was there, I decided to try on a few things because I hadn't been to the store in probably better than a year.

I picked up my standard choices of deeply discounted sweaters and cute spring tops. When I went to go try them on there was one lonely dress sitting on the rejected rack in front of the changing rooms. It was cute and a quick glance revealed that it just might be my size. On a whim I tried it on and shockingly enough, I have an adorable new Easter dress for a screaming deal.

There just might be a full picture of the gal behind the lens in the dress on Easter.

Day 84

This is what I've been doing with my "free" time the last couple of weeks. I've been working on trying to get some stuff out of the house. I'm hoping to get Easter auctions listed in the next couple of days. If those do okay, then I'm going to work harder on more of the spring and summer stuff.

I have all sorts of stuff that I'm hoping to move out of the house over the next month or so. I'm going to park my car in the garage and maybe even have some play money.

Day 5

I didn't do a very good job of getting the camera out today. I'm already wimping out and including pictures of my boys.

But this one will highlight one of my obsessions. I love my dressing my boys! Matt is wearing one of the first things I bought for him when I found out he was a boy. It is some penguin stuff from Gymboree. One of my first new Gymboree purchases for Paul was from this line when he was the baby. I thought this line was adorable!

I was taking pictures because it's obviously too small for him - unless the 3/4 length winter sleeve is popular on boys. It might actually be a new trend!

I just noticed this, but his knees are wet from crawling around in the bathroom after big brother's bath.
