Day 361
This little boy was walking around this afternoon with these stuffed animals. It was adorable because he was calling them "my boys".

Day 359
This boy was so happy to receive a banana in his stocking that it just had to make the picture of the day.
Merry Christmas to all!! I hope you are having a very happy and blessed day.

Day 319
Little Matt wanted to carry all of the trucks at grandma's house to the coffee table. And he was successful until he went to put them down on the table. You can see one in the lower right corner that is falling down to the floor. I thought the truck in mid-air was fun for today's picture.

Day 316
This little boy found one of mom's bracelets on the table and thought it would be a nice compliment to his pajamas. It's very fashionable. ;)

Day 305
After going out into the world yesterday, this little boy spiked a fever late last night. He and I spent a quiet morning at home. This afternoon we went out to spread his germs around to the public and let the boys play with some trains at the bookstore.
Actually, we're pretty sure he's just getting over a cold.

Day 304
This little boy was able to get his first piece of real chocolate to eat all on his own (at least I'm pretty sure it's his first). He enjoyed it immensely.

Day 301
I thought this boy was adorable in his little man pajamas. I think he thought they were pretty neat too.

Day 292
I was sitting in traffic on the way home and was going to take a picture of the lovely fall leaves. But I got distracted with listening to Matt "reading" in the backseat, so I took a picture of him. I never did get a chance to take a picture of the trees before the traffic cleared up.

Day 288
This morning was not what I would have considered one of my best mornings. Before 7:30, I had cleaned shampoo up off the carpet, cleaned up doggy poo, and rescued my youngest from being locked in our bedroom.
Sometime in the process of cleaning up the tools I used to save my little guy, starting the laundry, and getting breakfast ready, I lost my cell phone. It was on silent, but since I couldn't even hear it vibrating anywhere while it rang, I was sure I must have gotten it caught up in the sheets that were in the wash. But even after I went through the dripping wet sheets and towels, I still couldn't find it.
After having exhausted every other possible location, I finally searched the tool box in the garage. Sure enough, it was in the box. I'm not sure if I have a child or my stressed out morning to blame for that storage location, but I was quite relieved to find it.

Day 281
This evening our church was doing a fall celebration complete with costumes. The boys had a bunch of fun making treat bags and doing other crafts, playing fun games like pumpkin bowling, and participating in the costume parade.
I had Matt on my lap and was playing around with trying to take a picture of us and this was one of the results. I thought his little eye and lion costume head were cute.

Day 253
The boys and I met up with auntie and cousins at the park today. We couldn't pass up on one of the last days of summer. Since Matt has no fear, he requires constant supervision to make sure he doesn't try anything dangerous, so most of my pictures are of him.
I especially liked this one because I realized I accidentally captured an image of myself taking the picture in the reflection of the plastic dome.

Day 252
Grandma and I took my youngest to the park for a bit after I got off work. It was such a nice day, it would have been a waste to not spend at least some time outside. We were pushing Matt in one of the swings. A few times, I'd catch the swing and hold him in place for a few seconds, which he thought was hysterical. It also gave me the opportunity to catch his little eye peeking out at me through the openings in the back.
I thought it made for a kind of artistic, creative photo.

Day 250
In a classic case of "I thought he was with you", my little guy got into some bead work I was doing and managed to spill the beads I had all over the floor. Fortunately, I only had a couple dozen seed beads out loose. There were a few bright pink beads, but most of them were this khaki, light brown color.
I was surprised to discover that the khaki beads that almost matched my carpet were much easier to locate than the bright pink ones. I think I found most of them, but I'm not too stressed about it since they're only seed beads and my project is almost complete.

Day 230
Today is my husband's birthday and a few days ago he mentioned that he really wanted some Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats. The problem is that Matt can't have peanut butter yet. I took the ingredients to work and during my lunch I managed to make a batch of treats, separate out a bit for Matt (and me since I'm not a big fan of the peanut butter ones), and add peanut butter to the rest.
It's not quite how the directions say you should do it, so the peanut butter wasn't as well blended as it should have been, but my husband was thrilled, so that's all that really matters.

Day 222
We were out to dinner tonight at one of my very favorite places, and Matt kept looking up at the ceiling while we were eating. Finally, I had to look up and see what was so fascinating. All I could really come up with were the lamps that were over the table, and I have to admit that I thought they were pretty cool too.
I really liked the colors and shapes of the glass shades. Matt has a pretty good eye.

Day 166
My mom found this really cute construction quilt pattern several weeks ago and immediately thought of my oldest. This morning she surprised me with not only the completed quilt, but a smaller version for my little guy as well. They're both really nice with lots of great details like hubcaps and tire treads.
Paul insisted on sleeping with his right away, and I actually had to steal it off his bed while he was sleeping to get a picture of it. I did replace it after I was done.

Day 158
In about a month the boys and I are going on a middle-of-the-night flight to meet daddy in Michigan. It is my hope that the boys will be sound asleep when we have to transfer planes (yes, transfer). I have a couple of carriers for Matt, but my sister-in-law has been very excited about the ease and comfort of her Ergo Carrier. I tried hers out with Matt and had to agree.
After some failed attempts at getting a reduced price on eBay, I did some searching online for a "deal". The best I could do was free shipping, no tax, and a free rear-view mirror. The fact that it was coming from California and would probably be here quickly is what sold me - well, and the mirror. ;)
The carrier came yesterday (after the parade - oh, well). We tried it out tonight, and my brother took some pictures for me.

Day 153
More playing around with the macro lens today. I thought I'd try to see what motion I could capture, and decided to play around with water. My little one was in the bath, and it didn't take much encouragement to get him splashing. I like the results, but I'm not thrilled with them. I'll have to do some more experimenting.
