Day 252

Grandma and I took my youngest to the park for a bit after I got off work. It was such a nice day, it would have been a waste to not spend at least some time outside. We were pushing Matt in one of the swings. A few times, I'd catch the swing and hold him in place for a few seconds, which he thought was hysterical. It also gave me the opportunity to catch his little eye peeking out at me through the openings in the back.

I thought it made for a kind of artistic, creative photo.

Day 210

Hottest day on record.

This is a picture of the weather widget on my co-worker's computer at about 3pm this afternoon. It made me super excited to get into my husband's car about an hour later with no air conditioning.

Not the kind of weather we love here in the Pacific Northwest.

Day 167

It was a nice, mild day today and perfect for a trip to the zoo. We were able to go with our friends and spent several hours eating a picnic lunch and exploring the exhibits.

We walked by the rose garden on our way out, and the awesome smell from the roses drew us in. I only got a chance to take a couple of pictures because we needed to get on the road to avoid rush hour, but I really liked the coloring on this one.

Day 155

We were out and about this evening running some errands and the weather was starting to change. I caught these storm clouds coming in during the sunset.

Day 79

I think the most frustrating thing about the project blog for me is that some days I'm totally inspired with a couple of pictures and then other days, I can't come up with anything. Today was a day where I could have gone a couple of different directions. I'm going with this picture because I can use the other option on a different blog.

Matt was napping, and Paul and I were in the bonus room working away when this huge storm suddenly blew in. It was short and amazingly violent. This is the kind of rain I'll take any day (as long as I'm cozy at home). I don't like the misty, all day sort of rain. Short, sweet, and powerful is my rain of choice.
