Day 364
My friend and I took our five children (total) to the Children's Museum today. We were walking back to the museum after lunch and four of the kiddos decided to walk through the mall holding hands. It was so darn cute. Matt wasn't interested in participating.

Day 361
This little boy was walking around this afternoon with these stuffed animals. It was adorable because he was calling them "my boys".

Day 345
Today is my oldest's fifth birthday. I'll try not to gush too much over my little man, but he has been such a blessing in my life. I love his spirit, enthusiasm, quirky sense of humor, and sweet, thoughtful nature. I prayed for this little boy for years and God blessed us with more than I could have ever imagined. I count myself lucky to be able to be his mom and help guide his life.
I can't believe how quickly five years have flown by. Don't grow up too fast, baby.
Happy Birthday Paul!

Day 301
I thought this boy was adorable in his little man pajamas. I think he thought they were pretty neat too.

Day 205
I've been playing the game Sally's Spa on my iPhone off and on for about a month now. I beat it about a week after I made the huge $1 investment, and then I've been replaying the levels to try to get perfect scores. Tonight I decided to start it over again from the beginning.
The basics of the game are that you are Sally, a spa owner, and you need to take care of all of your customers with facials, massages, pedicures, etc. Each customer has a different demand level.
My favorite is one of the first customers called Busy Mom. The text says, "with all the stress of balancing work and family, it's important to find time to relax". Then the game tells you she's an Average Tipper and Very Patient.
I like the Busy Mom because I am one. It cracks me up because any time I go in to get a pedicure, they are sure to get you seated quickly and are always very efficient. In my mind I'm thinking, "what's the rush? This is some time in my life when no one is making any demands". I think I like this game so much because it makes me dream of going to the spa myself. :)

Day 200
I originally received an email, and then when we got home, I had a postcard. I might have even seen something on Twitter. At least I know my sister-in-law made a comment.
Vera Bradley was offering a pretty good discount on their lunch bags. Since I try to bring a lunch to work every day, I thought a cute new bag would be a good motivation to continue to make the effort. I'm not only saving the budget (in the long run), I'm also saving the environment with a reusable (and well made) lunch bag.
It doesn't help that it's really cute and works as an excuse to add yet another pattern to my collection. I actually had intended to purchase the Blue Rhapsody, but I couldn't find it at the store at the time of my purchase. I also am quite fond of the Bali Blue.

Day 156
I was working late into the night tonight trying to get some work done before our busy weekend. I wasn't getting much inspiration on what to take a picture of, so I played around with this shot of my computer with our work system up, my detailed notes on the work I've done towards the bottom, and the calendar - my almost constant remember of stuff to be done and schedules to be met.
It's still a darn cute calendar.

Day 143
This little kiddo just cracks me up. I found him in the living room playing with one of brother's cars, while laying on his back. It was pretty cute how he was content like that. I've also caught him before in our closet lounging out on the laundry.
I love how his little feet are grabbing at the diaper bag, too.

Day 89
My husband is leaving in a few days for an eleven day trip to Europe. I couldn't imagine parting with my DSLR for that long and he couldn't imagine lugging it around. We have an old point-and-shoot from many years ago that seems to still work, but we had been talking about getting a compact digital for a while.
On Saturday we finally took the plunge. This is a cute little 10 megapixel Canon PowerShot. It fits in my purse and takes video too. I'm looking forward to always being able to carry a camera around with me that has much better quality than my iPhone. Of course, I have to part with it in a few days.

Day 65
This is probably one I'd ordinarily post on my other blog, but I already plan to write about all sorts of other stuff that happened today. Matt is trying his hardest to get a view of what brother is watching on TV in the living room. I thought his little craned neck was cute.
