Day 306
There's a strange thing that happened when we set back the clocks on Saturday night. All of a sudden, when I go to work super early in the morning, the sun is starting to come up instead of it feeling like I'm driving in the middle of the night.
As I was driving this morning, I was watching the windows of a building in front of me and they were a brilliant red color. It took me a moment to realize they were reflecting back an amazing sunrise.
Then late this morning, I couldn't resist taking this picture of the same street with these great clouds.

Day 300
I've made it to day 300! I can't decide if I should be excited or a little freaked out that there are only 65 days left of the year!!
This afternoon we were looking out the windows and noticed this giant storm cloud coming in. It looked like it would pour any second. What's kind of funny is that it passed right over us without releasing a drop.

Day 291
We were loading up in the car, and I happened to look up and see this pretty nicely composed picture. It may be fall, but there are still some blue skies to be found.

Day 282
There was this amazing sunset this evening, but I missed the very best part by about five minutes while I switched lenses on my camera. Still managed to get a pretty good shot of the show.

Day 248
We took the boys to the fair after naps this afternoon. When we left the house, it looked like it was about to pour on us, but we avoided any rain at all. The sun even came out for a little while. It seems like we might have lucked out because the rest of the weekend looks pretty stormy.

Day 225
I haven't done a cloud picture for a while and today seemed like a good day because there's a storm coming in. We were at home and it started raining this afternoon right before we were going to leave for t-ball. We figured we'd go out and see if they were still going to play, and by the time we got about 10 minutes from home, the rain was gone.
You could tell from the field that the rain wasn't going to hold off forever, but fortunately, we were only slightly sprinkled on while the kids were playing.

Day 160
For the first time, I was able to accompany my husband on one of his school trips as a chaperone, and I picked a good one. We left for Lake Chelan this morning and spent the afternoon at the water park. This evening we took Matt on a walk around town (Paul is staying with my parents), and this was the view of the lake from the park.

Day 159
The sunset tonight was gorgeous. The sun was almost red. All I had with me was the point-and-shoot, but I think it got closer to capturing what I saw than I thought it would.

Day 135
Lately, I seem to have a thing or two or three about clouds.
As I was driving to my church book group this evening, I noticed this really unusual cloud formation. I'm not sure what caused it, but it's probably something man-made. I thought it looked pretty cool in the pre-sunset sky.

Day 132
The only thing to do with an unexpected series of storms is to get some good pictures. I was taking Paul to preschool and noticed this window of blue sky amongst the imposing storm clouds. There's some hope that the sun will come out by the weekend, so I think this picture is appropriate.

Day 131
Today in the Pacific Northwest we have been holding our breath while enjoying the weather between storms. The sun was out this afternoon, but as we were driving home this evening, these storm clouds were on the horizon and reflecting some awesome colors from the setting sun. I had to pull over and capture a few.
