Day 346
It was Paul's birthday party today, and he had a fantastic time celebrating in the nautically-themed room at the Children's Museum. We played at the museum, had some lunch, opened presents, ate cake, and played some more. What kid wouldn't love all that?

Day 318
We were in Seattle again this morning making some preparations for my Paul's birthday party coming up next month. On the way back to the car, Matt spied the fountain and wanted to go and see the water. I thought the boys watching the fountain made a nice picture. It would have been better if I'd taken my stuff out of the way first.

Day 246
Over Christmas I got a screaming deal on a new Vera Bradley purse. I've used it all spring and summer, but it's a little bit on the small side. I've been keeping an eye out for free shipping so I could get a little bit larger purse. Late last week they had free shipping again combined with a pretty great deal on a very large bag.
Ever since I received the Daisy Daisy pattern for my birthday, I've been wanting to get a bag in this now discontinued pattern. I bought the Morgan purse and the Super Tote in the Daisy Daisy. To round out my minimum purchase, I also bought the Tech Case in Mod Floral Blue that I've been eying since I considered the last round of free shipping.
I received my new bags yesterday, and I love them. The Morgan is a great size for my new everyday purse. The Tech Case is perfect for my camera. I'm not sure yet if I'll always be in my bag, or if I'll just use it when I'm carrying around my wallet and camera.
But I love the Super Tote. This bag will be perfect for my next quilt, a mommy overnight, or taking kids clothes to swimming. But since I don't quilt and probably won't see a mommy overnight for ages, it'll probably just be for toting swimming stuff - or at least it would be if the kids were in swimming. No matter what I use it for, I really like the size of this bag and have been looking for something this size for a long time.

Day 237
This evening we went out to claim Cold Stone's free ice cream for my husband's birthday last week. Before we headed back home we thought the boys might like to burn off some energy in the outdoor play area.
One of the things for the kids to play with is a kind of water feature. I thought the captured water droplets in this picture (with the point-and-shoot) were pretty cool!

Day 187
I took the boys to the beach today, and all three of us thought the sand in our toes was pretty cool. It was a really nice beach, and it was fantastic to have some fun in the sun.

Day 153
More playing around with the macro lens today. I thought I'd try to see what motion I could capture, and decided to play around with water. My little one was in the bath, and it didn't take much encouragement to get him splashing. I like the results, but I'm not thrilled with them. I'll have to do some more experimenting.
